The Main Library, located at 125 14th. St. between Oak and Madison streets, turns 75 in January, 2026. We want to hear your stories and memories about your experiences with the Main Library. When did you first visit the Main Library? What makes Main a unique cultural presence in Oakland, and what does the Main Library mean to you? Please share your thoughts, photos, images, and artistic inspirations for this community history project. We'll publish select submissions in an e-book and submissions will close in late May.
